March 3, 2020 – Minister of Agriculture Marija Vučković today inaugurated the fifth jubilee national agricultural conference “Slavonika” and emphasized: “We are in a period when agriculture is changing. Financial instruments in the new era will continue to be targeted at young farmers, among other things. ”The conference honored“ Inspiring Agriculture ”to individuals who, through their work, contributed to a better perception of agriculture, but also inspired many farmers to organize or reorganize their businesses. the better. The awards were given to Mirta Milas and Martin Vučković from Croatian Radio, Zdenka Rupčić from Voice of Slavonia, Vedran Stapić from AgroKlub, Vlatko Grgurić from Croatian Radio-Television and Miroslav Kuskunović, until recently editor of Agrobiz Portal. Posthumous recognition was given to the late journalist and Agroglas editor Roberta Sorić. President of the Organizing Committee and founder of “Slavonika” Danijel Koletić emphasized the importance of education in the field of digital agriculture, which definitely changes the management and organizational processes. As part of the conference, State Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture Tugomir Majdak spoke on the topic “What brings us a new package of common agricultural policy”. Professor Zdenko Lončarić from the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences in Osijek moderated and spoke at the panel on “Why Croatia needs digital agriculture”. In addition to the panel, Marko Kozjak, director of VeeMee, Krunoslav Dugalić, director of the Croatian Agency for Agriculture and Food, professor Ivan Plaščak from the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences in Osijek and Denis Matijević, director of Smarter, participated in the panel. Zvjezdana Blažić, Director of the Geja Consulting Company, spoke on the topic “Agriculture and Youth”, which is also the topic of this year’s conference. Boris Čagalj of the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development presented the possibilities of financing farmers, and Goran Varžić, beneficiary of the measures of the Ministry of Agriculture 6.1, gave participants a practical view of the business. Students Ivan Šima Branković from the Faculty of Agrobiotechnical Sciences in Osijek, Filip Puškarić from the Faculty of Agronomy in Zagreb, Laura Dušek from the Polytechnic of Požega and Karla Pavlak from the College of Economics in Križevci presented their vision of Croatian agriculture. The conference was attended by more than 360 participants, students and representatives of the agricultural community and institutions. The conference was sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture, the City of Osijek, Osijek-Baranja County, Vukovar-Srijem County, and Požega-Slavonia County.
